Face Claim: Teresa Palmer I pray for morning, I swear I'll never let you die Your Alias: Cherry! How long have you been role-playing?: Like...4 years, maybe? Name: Claire Adele Rose Age: Eighteen Gender: Female Sexuality: Heterosexual Relationship Status: Single Appearance: When it comes to appearance, Claire has all the fittings of a California beach babe (without actually being from California) covered completely; with wavy tresses of the blonde variety that reach to the base of her shoulder blades and sparkling blue eyes, she could fit right in with the stereotype. She can be usually be seen with her long locks left down and minimal amounts of make-up adorning her features, allowing her natural beauty to shine through. She has a love of painting her nails and she can be known to change them quite frequently, experimenting with new colors and glitters often. She stands at a modest 5 feet, 7 inches and weighs in at 137 pounds exactly with a thin, yet feminine figure that is usually adorned with a variety of styles of clothing. Though she’ll wear an array of different types, Claire is most fond of clothes that are convenient and comfortable, such as a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, though she also enjoys a nice dress and a pair of heels on occasion. Personality:Overall, Claire is a rather friendly and helpful girl, helping those around her when they come to her with a question or in need of advice. She was a good student, always punctual to turn in her assignments and a good-listener in class. She is intelligent and witty, and she wass always there to give the correct answer when needed; now that she has graduated, she can use her intelligence to help people in the library. She enjoys talking to people and making friends, and she can be very good at keeping a conversation if you can find the right topic. If she can find someone with similar interests, she is talkative and bubbly, able to talk your ear off. Claire is also rather caring; she is a good person by nature and she abstains from drinking, even if alcohol is offered to her. She is trustworthy and protective, and she doesn't take kindly to people messing with her friends or family. She is very loyal to a friend and she tries her best to never hurt somebodies feelings. However, Claire is also easily irritated and she hates to be proven wrong. She doesn’t take criticism well, but it does help push her to be better. As of late she has adopted a fake smile, hiding her emotions and trying to be strong behind the cheery emotion so that she can be a supporting pillar for her distant sister, should she ever need to talk to her. When she is alone, however, she tends to drop the mask of strength in favor of a more pained look, her grief at the loss of her family showing through. Claire is also rather sensitive and can be hurt easily, often over the smallest things. She has a tendency to misinterpret things or read too far in to the tone voice or the exact words that were said. However, she isn’t the type to show her anger or hurt through words or physical acts; she tends to just not talk to you for several days, ignoring you and anything to do with you, seeing as she can hold quite the grudge. She can be quite childish and spoiled at times, being raised in a family that was rather well-off, but she believes in sharing and she always tries to make sure everything is evenly divided. While she is quite intelligent, especially when it the material is over history or anything she is actually interested in, she despises school with every fiber of her being, as she is also quite lazy. She hates having to work for anything and she procrastinates until the last minute, but she makes sure she ends up doing everything. Bullies are another reason she detests school, as they always relentless pick on people’s flaws so nobody ever sees the good parts of themselves, only the bad. She is so happy to be out of school and working, though she doesn't like work any more than school. The only good thing about work is that she gets to see people from varying stages in life; she enjoys people watching, which is an interesting past time. Occupation in the bunkers: Librarian Theme Song(s): Resurrect the Sun - Black Veil Brides, Done for You - Black Veil Brides, Count On Me - Bruno Mars Bunker: 2 Condo #: 2 History: At exactly 5:00 pm on July 21, 2052 in small town, Ohio, Claire Adele Rose was born to the happy couple, Angela and Jason Rose, the oldest of what would turn out to be three children. For the first five years of her life, Claire lived the life of a solitary child, learning about the world around her and taking in all the love that her mother and father provided. Even from an early age, Claire’s life was better than she could imagine too be. She was born to a rather economically well-off family, with both her mother and her father being lawyers that owned their own business. The firm, named Rose and Johnson, was started by her parents and their partner, Sam Johnson. They began their firm when she was only two years old, and it only grew from there. While it is still a considerably small firm, with only 8 lawyers in total working under her parents, it was a steady income that provided for her and her younger siblings to come. However, because Claire’s parent’s job required so much work and time to be placed into the job, they were away for most of the day and she really only ever saw them on the weekends. This left her parents with quite a problem, as she was still very young when they began their business and they would need someone to look after her. This is how Claire ended up being watched over by her grandmother, the mother of her father, every day since she was a small child. Her grandmother, a widow and retired, moved into the family’s comfortable two-story home and became the official baby-sitter and Claire’s favorite grandparent. Her grandmother always made sure that Claire was well entertained and took her to the park when the weather permitted, and always gave Claire an extra cookie afterwards. She always took care of her, just as her mother would if she was able to. It was thanks to her grandmother that she didn’t end up ever feeling alone or angry that her parents were only around on the weekends. It wasn’t until Claire was five that she learned the joy and terror have having younger siblings; a set of twins, both a boy and a girl, joined her life. While they were annoying and cried often, Claire loved them dearly and cared for them as best as a five year old could, helping her grandmother take care of them when her mother had to return to work. It was a fun time in her life, and she grew up taking care of her younger siblings like a big sister should. It was like this that the years past, with her protecting them and trying to be a good role-model for them, always doing well in school and never partying. While she couldn’t really complain about her life, she was probably one of the only students in her high school to never party and since she went to such a small high school, but that didn’t really affect her when it came to making friends. While she didn’t have an extreme amount of friends, she had a broad range of acquaintances and a small group of close friends with which to confide in. Though her life was boring and average, she was happy. It wasn't until she had finally graduated from high school, a moment in time that she had been waiting years for, that Claire's life finally started spiraling down. She had intended to go to school for the fall semester and she was excited and nervous for her new stage in life, a stage that she would never experience. It was around when she had been planning to head off to a college on the other side of the state that the disease shook the world, leaving her at home from the mass hysteria and paranoia that rocked the country. Her mother didn't feel comfortable sending her so far away in the beginning, and then they were told to stay at home when they could, so Claire hardly left the house for several months, watching over her family and helping with meals and around the house. While it was an anxious couple of months at home, it was relatively boring; that is, until she was told to start packing. Unbeknownst to her, Claire's parents had collected as much of their money as they could to pay for the bunkers that would save them and their family. They had just managed to gather all the money and pay for the tickets when tragedy struck. Just days before they were going to leave, almost everybody in her family caught the fever; it took only a day before Claire and her younger sister were the only two left. With heavy hearts and unwilling minds, Claire and her sister caught the plane that would take them to the bunker, leaving what was left of their family and past behind; even though her parents were gone, Claire was an adult and she was now responsible for her younger sister, a young teen who now refused to talk to her. It had been hard on both of them, though it was especially so for her sister who had just lost her twin. Claire knew that she blamed her for leaving everyone behind and for not trying hard enough to save them, venting her grief as anger towards her older sibling. Claire would have given anything to have her family back and she was so filled with grief that she didn't know what to do, but she still had her sister to protect and she'd be damned if she lost her last relative. So now Claire and her sister live in the bunker, sharing a room but hardly ever speaking to each other. Upon arriving at the underground sanctuary, Claire made sure to enroll her sibling in the school so that she could continue her education while she began her career as a librarian, focusing on the work that she hated to do (seeing as she's so lazy) with vigor to try and keep her mind off the loss of her family and the lack of contact she had with her sister. |
